JRun Start Up Scripts

| Comments

To facilitate the start up of several of our instances I have, with [much] help of our Unix gurus, created a bash script that fires up several instances and loads seperate jvm.config files up for the instances in question. The start script looks like follows:
!/bin/sh # # set env (used for both start & stop) # # Do not run as root # if [ `/usr/xpg4/bin/id -u` -eq 0 ] then echo “***************************************” echo “** This script will not run as root. **” echo “***************************************” echo “” echo “You probably want to try:” echo “su fusionUser -c $0” echo “” exit 1 fi cat /dev/null > /tmp/jrun.out if [ $# -eq 0 ] then servers=’instance1 instance2 instance3 instance4’ else servers=$@ fi echo “Starting $servers…” # loop over our array for server in $servers; do # if the jvm file exists set it if [ -f $JRUN_HOME/bin/jvm.config_$server ]; then JVM_CONFIG=$JRUN_HOME/bin/jvm.config_$server else # else set the default one JVM_CONFIG=$JRUN_HOME/bin/jvm.config fi # start the instances $JRUN_HOME/bin/jrun -start -config $JVM_CONFIG $server > /tmp/jrun-$server.out 2>&1 & echo “Sleeping for 10 seconds… time for BGT” sleep 10 done
